Through careful attention to detail, the piece explores the quiet beauty found in everyday moments, inviting viewers to pause and connect with the simplicity of the space.
A Quiet Place 2020 Limited edition Giclee print, signed Edition number 3 of 50 50x50cm framed
"A Quiet Place" – Original, Collage. This artwork reflects the profound impact of our surroundings during home isolation in these uncertain times. It tells the story of how the world slowed down, offering a stark contrast to the constant rush and relentless pressure we were so used to. The sudden absence of the city's usual noise was strange, almost eerie, as the bustling metropolis fell silent. For some, this newfound stillness felt unsettling; for others, it was a rare moment of peace, all depending on one's state of mind. During the lockdown in London, I began to focus on my wellbeing, using art as a form of meditation. One moment in particular inspired me: my child took a photo of me gazing out of a window, our only connection to the outside world, nature, and our surroundings. That image became a symbol of hope, leading me to transform it into this artwork. As a visual artist and a mother, it’s essential for me to express these personal feelings through my art. I’m proud to share that "A Quiet Place" was featured in The Washington Post on July 6th, 2020, as one of the 20 best artworks created during the pandemic, selected from over 650 submissions. Limited edition and signed prints will be available soon. This is my journey, my meditation, and my way of finding calm in the chaos. – Silviya Georgieva (Sellvida), Bulgarian artist based in London.
Coffee Corner 2018 Limited Edition Giclee print, signed Edition number 3 of 50 50x50cm with frame
"Coffee Corner" is an original collage and mixed media painting on canvas, inspired by the cosy and inviting coffee nook of a dear friend. This charming space, with its array of coffee machines, offers the ultimate experience for any coffee enthusiast. Whether one desires a simple espresso or a more elaborate brew, the possibilities seem endless. Through a dynamic layering of materials and textures, I sought to capture the warmth and essence of this unique corner—a place where the ritual of making coffee becomes an art form in itself. The composition invites viewers to immerse themselves in the sensory richness and comfort that this space evokes.
Breakfast with Crocodile 2021 Limited edition Giclee print, signed, Edition number: 2 of 150 50x50cm framed
"Breakfast with a Crocodile" – Original artwork is a vibrant mixed media collage on canvas – draws inspiration from a remarkable spot in North London, known for its unique atmosphere and life-sized crocodile sculpture. The sculpture sparks curiosity and wonder, particularly in children, as they interact with this unexpected creature. The energy of the space, alive with colour and character, is captured in my artwork through a blend of materials. I layer different types of paper with bold strokes of acrylic paint, creating a textured and dynamic piece that mirrors the playful yet intriguing spirit of this extraordinary place.
Caffeine 2017 Limited edition Giclee print, signed Edition Number: 2 of 50 50x50cm Framed
"Caffeine” – System Stimulant" artwork is a reflection of my deep affinity with coffee, an essential companion in my creative process. As a devoted coffee lover, I was inspired to translate my passion for this stimulant into visual form, incorporating the intricate patterns and rich textures associated with the beverage. The predominant green tones evoke the raw vitality of coffee cherries, while deep black represents the transformation into the final brew we savour. Through this piece, I explore the journey of coffee—from its natural state to the invigorating cup that fuels both body and mind, particularly in the pursuit of artistic expression.
