In collaboration with Loom Islington, Projects Art Factory presents "Textiles Reshuffled," an all-female exhibition curated by Margherita Nussio and Francesca Budini Gattai, featuring 6 emerging international artists. This exhibition explores womanhood, non-conformity, and the rich history of textiles, honouring tradition while expanding the boundaries of contemporary textile art.
Each artist brings a unique perspective, using textiles to tell stories that engage both the eyes and the hands. The exhibition showcases a range of practices, from Athena Nemah's intricate embroidery inspired by medieval manuscripts to Nicole Chui's disruptive freestyle hand embroidery, Renin Bilginer's culturally rich tapestry-paintings, Lucrezia Romanello's sustainable fashion accessories, and Alessia’s medieval-inspired crochet hats.
"Textiles Reshuffled" invites viewers to rethink the possibilities of textile art, celebrating its diversity and transformative power.
